You Are Valid

To say we are in a crazy, stressful situation would be an understatement.

The Novel Coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19, has taken the world by storm. And not in a good way.

Here in the US, we have all 50 states affected with the number of cases, and deaths, growing each day.

This has led to hysteria amongst the general public.

Store shelves are being wiped clean.

People, including myself, are experiencing hour reductions and/or layoffs.

Immunocompromised and seniors are being advised to self-quarantine.

Cities are going on lockdown.

Businesses are closing.

For lack of a better word, this is nuts.

My response to all this is: YOUR FEELINGS AND RESPONSES TO THIS ARE VALID.

If you are feeling anxious, YOUR FEELINGS ARE VALID.

If you are feeling depressed, YOUR FEELINGS ARE VALID.

If you are feeling stressed, YOUR FEELINGS ARE VALID.

If you are feeling scared, YOUR FEELINGS ARE VALID.

If you are feeling hopeless, YOUR FEELINGS ARE VALID.

If you are taking the time to spend with loved ones, YOUR RESPONSE IS VALID.

If you are choosing to self-quarantine, YOUR RESPONSE IS VALID.

If you are getting projects and/or work done, YOUR RESPONSE IS VALID.

If you are resting and practicing self-care, YOUR RESPONSE IS VALID.

If you are taking a break from the news, YOUR RESPONSE IS VALID.

Wherever you are, my heart is with you.

This is tough.

This is frightening.

I so sincerely hope this comes to an end sooner than later.

I pray that you, your loved ones, and every single person is safe and healthy during this time.

Sending you peace and comfort.

Remember, you are valid.
