A Quick Trip to San Diego

Since my boyfriend was home for the holidays (he’s been working a job that requires travel 75% of the time), he booked us a surprise trip to San Diego.

I had been a little sick the days leading up to it, so after stopping by the urgent care in Temecula and picking up my prescription, we made our way to San Diego.

We stayed at the Ramada Gaslamp Convention Center. Tucked in the heart of the Gaslamp District, the hotel was quaint and featured a super cool, retro elevator.

I had never seen an elevator like this!

The most stunning feature of the hotel, however, was its rooftop. Nestled above a “guests only” door, the rooftop was adored with metal tables and chairs. The view was gorgeous—a 360 panorama view of San Diego from the mountains to the sea. I loved how it wasn’t crowded with a restaurant or bar—it was just a simple rooftop with a beautiful view. We went up to the rooftop multiple times during our stay.

A nice older woman offered to take our picture for us!

The trip was very relaxing. In addition to lounging around, we ate GOOD.

Tacos, ceviche, and a salsa trio from Serrano’s.
The most AMAZING ravioli from Operracafe. Highly recommend their tiramisu as well!
Good Stuff Cookies—filled with cheesecake!

All in all, it was a great trip! So thankful to have had the time to explore San Diego with my SO!
