Super Simple Summer Smoothie

Well, isn’t that a tongue twister!

I wanted to switch it up on this week’s blog post by posting a recipe for a super simple Summer smoothie.

I had been toying around with smoothie recipes ever since I rediscovered my family’s Ninja Professional 1000W Blender and finally found one that I enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll need:

-1 cup frozen mixed berries

-1 ripe banana

-1 cup kale

-1/2 cup almond milk

-1 container of greek yogurt

***If you are dairy free or vegan, substitute greek yogurt for a non-dairy yogurt

I’m not sure if this affects anything, but I like to drop the ingredients into the blender separately so they are spread out before mixing.

After everything is in the blender, blend on high for 1-2 minutes or until it reaches a thick, but drinkable consistency.

Voila! This smoothie is delicious and gets you 1-2 servings of fruit, 1 serving of veggies, and some protein (from the greek yogurt) to start your day off right.
